The mahi of Te Taumata Toi-a-Iwi, as Auckland’s arts regional trust, is focused on strengthening our city’s arts and culture ecosystem. We support the development of creative sector capability by building connections, enabling collaboration, and sharing learning and best practice. This includes growing understanding of toi Māori and the diversity of arts, cultural and creative practice across the many cultures and identities within our communities and across Aotearoa. Our advocacy, which draws on the experiences and insights of the arts practitioners and organisations of Tāmaki Makaurau, aims to bring about the systemic change that will make our sector more resilient, equitable, inclusive, sustainable and valued.
