Briefing for ministers 2019 - 2020

We asked the Ministers to give priority to engaging with the sector on two urgent issues:

  • COVID-19 recovery funding management
  • The development of a national ngā toi strategy

We look forward to working with the Hon Carmel Sepuloni as the Minister, and the Rt Hon Jacinda Ardern and the Hon Kiri Allan as Associate Ministers.

Following the appointment of the Arts, Culture and Heritage Ministers, Te Taumata Toi-a-Iwi prepared a briefing for the Ministers on the value of the arts, and our recommendations on priorities for action. This drew on the work done by the Ngā Toi Advocacy Network, and the kōrero from the pre-election forumNgā Toi in Aotearoa – 2020 and beyond.
